Reserves beat The Wrights Arms Tavern on Sunday 4 - 1. Good all round performance. We were slow out of the blocks again, going one nil down within ten minutes through a decent strike from 18 yards. We showed good character to bounce back and went in at the break 2 - 1 up following an own goal after a great run from Levy then a cool finish from Clint after a well worked set piece involving Wayne and neat back heel from Ste Needham. The reserves dominated the second half and the introduction of Jacko injected some pace up front. Jacko went close a couple of times before Wayne added a third and pile driver postage stamp from Ste Needham sealed the victory. But for their keeper, in the first and second half, this could have been 10-1. It looks like the reserves have a strong squad for the upcoming season and should do well in the league.
